To all of our friends and family and prayer warriors I want to thank you for your love, support and prayers. This morning Doug began a journey in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. the Lord answered my prayers and allowed Doug not to suffer any longer He passed peacefully quickly and holding my hand. I am very blessed that God allowed me to share in Doug's life. I ask that you keep our family in prayer as we go through these next few weeks and there after. Heaven gained a great man today and he will be sadly missed here. Thank you all and I will keep this blog open until after the funeral so I can post the needed info.

    Even today, your strength is a witness and testimony of our Lord's grace. Please know that we are available at a moment's notice to do anything that you and the kids need. We love you and are praying for you all. Keep the picture in your mind of Doug, joyous and in perfect health, sitting at Jesus' feet. May the Comforter shelter you under His wings, and give you peace.

    I know Doug is in a better place. He is healed now. But now my prayer is for you and the family as you mourn and adjust to this. God Bless all of you.

    What a tremendous impact he had on my daughter in law as her youth pastor as a girl and her family and even my own son and grandkids. They loved spending time with you all and prayed for you diligently. Such an overwhelming hurt and loss but also such a joy in Heaven...to even think he is with our Lord Jesus even now...wow...may the Lord give you all the strength and comfort you need to get through this valley, and come out rejoicing on the mountain top for being able to make him such a happy and blessed man here on earth. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
