Hello,
We are home from vacation and we had a GREAT TIME. Doug had so much energy and really had a great time. Now it is back to the real world.
We got a call from the transplant office and they are looking at doing the transplant at the end of June. As of right now Doug does not have to go through another round of Chemo (Yea).
God has answered our prayers about a donor. Thank-you all for praying with us. Our next prayer is for the transplant process. Pray that the new cells don't reject Doug's body. This is opposite to most transplants where the person getting the new part can reject it . In Doug's case the new cells could treat Doug's body as a foreign object. This is know as G.V.H.D. which can have many side effects and can last or happen up to two years past transplant.
We are so thankful what God has done and are praying for what he will do.
We will keep you posted.
Love to all,
Kelly
