Hello,
We found out today that transplant will be on July 10th. This means that Doug will go into
U.N.M.C. on Monday July 6th and start Chemo. That will be two days and then on Wed. he will begin full body radiation and that will be done twice a day for three days. On Friday the 10th after his last dose of radiation he will have the transplant(most likely evening time).
This past week Doug was having some symptoms so we went into the doctors and they confirmed our thoughts that his leukemia was acting up again so they gave him some treatments
and his counts are doing better as of today's counts(Praise God). On Wed July 1st Doug will have a new Drug that can have some nasty little side effect, just about every drug has theses. We do ask that you keep Him in special prayer that day.
God has been so good to us, we are constantly reminded at the clinic and hospital of the risks and side effects that so many cancer patients face that God has spared Doug from. The power of prayer is phenomenal. Thank-you so much for your prayers. We serve a wonderful God who is good even in the valleys of life. We know that this next step is huge but our God is bigger and our faith is stronger and we know in the end His will will be done and it will be perfect.
We will keep you all posted and keep praying,
Love to all,
Kelly
