Here is the update from our visit with the lung doctor yesterday. The fluid is back around his lungs which means that pulling it off did not help or fix the problem. The next step is to try and fix it through dialysis. This will mean they will try and take more fluid off of him. This will most likely make him feel worse then he already does after dialysis. He is so far under his dry weight and partially dehydrated this process may be a challenge. If using dialysis to pull the fluid off does not work then they will have to do surgery. The doctor told Doug that if they have to do surgery that it will be painful and extremely hard on him. As of right now Doug only have about 50% use out of his lungs.So as you can tell we have many things to pray for and about. Thank you all for praying with us and for us. We should know within the next two to three weeks if the dialysis is working. I will keep you all posted. Unfortunately there are no quick fixes to Doug's problems and it may be weeks before he gets some relief. Please pray for strength and comfort for Doug.
