Hello,
Amen and Amen, Doug's body is starting to make his own blood cells. This is a good thing!!!
They will start taking him off some of his meds. here in the next few days and they have lifted his restriction on fluids. These things should all help in him wanting to eat. If things continue on this track he could be home this weekend. (YEA!) This is also the time where the graft verse host disease can start to take place. GVHD as they call it, can come in many forms. The doctor said we want a little bit of it cause that just proves the new cells are working. The GVHD is most likely to show up in the first 100 days. His leg cramps where better last night (answer to Prayer), his mouth is getting better (answer to prayer). God is so good!!!
Today prayers are:
1. more white blood cells
2. no mouth or leg pains
3. no nausea
4. a small amount of GVHD
5. appetite
6. strength
Most of all a full and complete healing from this cancer!!!!!!!!
Thank-you all again for the prayers our God is great and mighty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
