Today we were informed by Doctor Thome that my Leukemia has made a relapse. I am scheduled for a spinal tap and bone marrow biopsy on Wednesday March 11th and a PET Scan and CT Scan on Thursday and then I will see the doctor on Friday to have the results read and discuss the next step.I want to say first and foremost that I trust God. He brought me to this so he will bring me through it. There is a kids song that has been going through my mind lately "My Lord knows the way through the wilderness and all I got to do is follow.
God Bless each of you and please thank you for praying.
We are praying for you -- keep up the positive attitude!!
ReplyDeleteDoug, we haven't stopped praying for you and will continue to do so. "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." Phil 4:4 The Lord has more work for you to do. Keep the faith! Tina
ReplyDeleteYou have the love, support, and -- most importantly -- prayers of all the members of our church. We will continue to keep you in our prayers during this journey.
ReplyDeleteThis has been tough to watch my dad and you go through this. I want you to know I am thinking of you often and praying. To have people that I am close to go through this has been very discouraging and honestly it has tested my faith at times, but recently I've seen God's hand with my dad in the fact that he has not felt much pain through all this. And thats what we've been praying for. So I am excited to see what God is going to do for you. Love ya brother.
ReplyDeleteHebrews 3:1-6,
ReplyDeleteYou have demonstrated a courage I've never witness before. If an older brother can learn from his younger brother, then it is you who have taught me to stand tall, look up, and know that God is with you.
Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why things like this happen to people we love so much, but God doesn't always reveal His will in ways that we understand, does He? I do know that His will is a perfect will. And I do know that He loves and cares for you, and He will be with you, once again, through everything.
We will be in continuous prayer for you and your family. We love you all so much!
"THE STEPS OF A GOOD MAN ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD;AND HE DELIGHTETH IN HIS WAY.
ReplyDeleteTHOUGH HE FALL, HE SHALL NOT BE UTTERLY CAST DOWN; FOR THE LORD UPHOLDETH HIM WITH HIS HAND." PS 37:23-24
Brother Doug Taylor not only do you talk the talk, you walk the walk...just remember the Lord is walking beside you and holding your hand. And also remember that there are many, many people who love you and are actively praying for you and your family. We love you and are praying for you...and we are just down the street if you need us!
And now, on a lighter note...isn't it just like Micah to liken this ALL attack to a military type battle! That boy is a military man's man!
Bro. Doug;
ReplyDeleteThank you for your testimony of the "Tender Mercies" of our Lord and Saviour through this trial of your faith.
Please know you have some rope holders up here in Sioux City. I will give your update to the church tonight.
We will also hold up your wife and children, church family, and Pastor.
Shane Breece
We will put you back on the top of our daily prayer list.
ReplyDeleteOnly the Lord knows the future, He gives us just a glimpse of the present.
Knowing the future would overwhelm us.
And dwelling on the past will often makes us fear the future.
The world (and even other Christians for that matter) need to see that we really do believe the Lord, just keep praising Him anyway.
Doug - West Omaha Baptist Church will have this great need before the Throne of God regularly. I will personally pray for this to pass every day until it does. We love you and your family and we are praying for you. Thanks for always being there for me.
ReplyDeleteWe love you brother. We will keep you before the throne. Blessings to you and all the family. His grace is indeed, sufficient, in our weakness. Amen? ...Jon Shonebarger, Canon City, CO
ReplyDeleteDoug & Kelly,
ReplyDeleteYou and your family have truly shown us how to live the Bible, like no one else ever has. We have seen you pass the first journey with flying colors because of your faith and trust in God.
Now Satan is before God and has launched another attack, since he failed the first time.
We are and will continue to keep each of you and the children in our constant prayers. We consider you great friends and will do what ever you call on us to do.
In our prayers,
Jeff and Teresa
Doug, Kelly and kids~ You are ALL in the Diorios' prayers!! Love you lots!
ReplyDeleteOur prayer for you today was to take away the pain of the bone marrow draw and that prayer was answered. Glad to hear that part went much better than anticipated. One day at a time. Glad we're right next door and our door is always open and we'll always leave the lights on for you!! Much love.
ReplyDeleteYou are always in our thoughts and prayers. Amazing things happen to those who have faith!
ReplyDeleteOh Doug. The power of prayer, the power of friendship and the power of God. Its your faith that gives me encouragement and gets me up every morning, and then when I look outside I say.....Thank You God. I try to thank the Lord for everything He has provided for us, but the list is endless so I figure that since you have such a gift to gab, I'll leave most of the talking to you. When I grow up I want to be just like you (well, maybe a little better looking).
