here we go !!!!!
Well the fun has begun... We talked to the doctor,he has said that our first goal is to get Doug back in remission. On Wednesday the 18th of March he will be admitted to Bergan Mercy Hospital for a round of Chemo. He will be in for five days then home for 3 weeks then in for five days then they will check him. We will do this until he is in remission. The second goal is then a bone marrow transplant. then the goal will be to keep him in remission. So these are the prayer request that I ask you all to pray for along with us. We do not know how long this will all take that is Gods job ours is just to follow close beside him. I will most likely post more today as we have another meeting with the doctor today. Love and thank-you

So the Sgt. asks me on the weekend if I wouldn't mind working with Doug on tuesday and I have to tell you I was excited to see you in action, in brown, and in your hat. Then I got told monday night that you would be unable to work because you and the doc had some chatting to do. You know of course my thought is now I know you will do just ablout anything to avoid working with me. lol!!! lol!!! Just kidding Doug! Fto has been a great time and we will have a day on the road together hopefully someday! Miss our chats, pray for my Fto to be a success because I praying for you, miss you. Amber Ellwood
ReplyDeleteDitto to the thanks for the updates ... prayers are with you. We need all the chaplains we can have ... and all the prayers we can offer for eachother. I'm going to post your request on our Hope Lutheran Prayer Group, one of our prayer outreaches here at Hope Ev. Lutheran Church of the Corn Fields and Cow Pastures.

ReplyDeleteHey man, I've never "blogged" before but this just shows you I would do anything for you! I told your daughter at camp I was going give you a big kiss right on top of your bald head the last time you had kemo but then never got down there before your hair grew back. Well this time I will keep my word. That is really something I KNOW you will look forward to! ha!
ReplyDeleteLet me tell you again what a great message you brought to all of us at the YP Val Banq. Thank you. I am honored to have you as a friend.
Please know all of us are praying for you and your family.
